Community Guidelines
These guidelines help keep our community focused, constructive, and genuinely valuable for robotic additive manufacturing practitioners.
1. High-Signal Technical Contributions
When asking questions or sharing workflows, provide tangible technical context:
- Specify your machine architecture (e.g. 6-axis articulated arm, 3-axis gantry, pellet extruder vs. filament).
- Include material specifications (pellet grade, filler percentage, print temperatures) when diagnosing extrusion defects.
- Share relevant toolpath snippets, Grasshopper definitions, or G-code sections where possible.
2. Commercial Transparency & No Sales Spam
The Addidex Community is not an advertising billboard. We welcome hardware manufacturers, software creators, and material formulators to participate as technical peers.
- Always disclose your commercial affiliation in your user profile.
- Answer questions with objective technical data rather than promotional sales copy.
- Direct promotional blasts, unsolicited direct messages, and spam will result in immediate suspension.
3. Constructive Debate & Respect
Disagreements on toolpath strategies, finite element simulations, or slicing algorithms are a natural part of technical progress.
- Critique the ideas, code, and methodology—never attack the person.
- Assume good intentions and welcome newcomers asking honest technical questions.
- Adhere to the overarching Addidex Code of Conduct.
