Community Guidelines
These guidelines explain how to ask questions, share work and take part in discussions.
1. Give enough detail
When asking for help or explaining a method, include the details someone would need to understand it:
- Specify your machine architecture (e.g. 6-axis articulated arm, 3-axis gantry, pellet extruder vs. filament).
- Include material specifications (pellet grade, filler percentage, print temperatures) when diagnosing extrusion defects.
- Share relevant toolpath snippets, Grasshopper definitions, or G-code sections where possible.
2. Commercial Transparency & No Sales Spam
Equipment builders, software developers and material suppliers are welcome to answer questions and share technical information. Keep promotional posts out of technical discussions.
- Always disclose your commercial affiliation in your user profile.
- Answer questions with objective technical data rather than promotional sales copy.
- Direct promotional blasts, unsolicited direct messages, and spam will result in immediate suspension.
3. Constructive Debate & Respect
You can disagree about a method or result. Explain your reasoning and respond to the work itself.
- Discuss the ideas, code and methods. Do not attack the person.
- Assume good intentions and welcome newcomers asking honest technical questions.
- Follow the Addidex Code of Conduct.
