Addidex Platform Standards

Code of Conduct

Addidex is dedicated to providing a safe, honest, and high-signal environment for everyone—across our events, digital platforms, map directory, and community forums.

1. Our Guiding Principles

We bring together practitioners, researchers, material developers, software engineers, and industrial adopters to advance robotic and large-format additive manufacturing (RAM/LFAM).

  • Practitioner-first: We prioritize real workflows, tangible code, machine constraints, and material science over promotional sales pitches.
  • Process over polish: We celebrate sharing what failed, what was learned, and how processes can be improved.
  • Radical integrity: We engage with honesty, transparent data, and mutual respect for open technical debate.

2. Expected Behavior

All participants, speakers, partners, exhibitors, and community contributors are expected to:

  • Treat everyone with empathy, professionalism, and respect regardless of background, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, or religion.
  • Focus on constructive technical critique and knowledge sharing.
  • Respect the intellectual property, research boundaries, and privacy of fellow practitioners.
  • Comply with venue safety guidelines, especially when operating or observing live robotic fabrication equipment.

3. Unacceptable Behavior

We do not tolerate harassment, intimidation, or exclusionary behavior in any form, including:

  • Offensive, discriminatory, or degrading comments and jokes.
  • Unwelcome sexual attention, advances, or inappropriate physical contact.
  • Deliberate disruption of talks, workshop sessions, live demonstrations, or community threads.
  • Aggressive sales pitches or deceptive commercial promotion where objective technical discussion is expected.

4. Reporting & Incident Handling

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please contact the Addidex organizers immediately:

Email: connect@addidex.com

All reports are handled with confidentiality, urgency, and discretion by the event leadership team.

Organizers reserve the right to take appropriate action, including issuing warnings, immediate expulsion from the event or platform without refund, and temporary or permanent bans from future Addidex initiatives.
