About this organisation
MELD PrintWorks is a spin‑off of MELD Manufacturing Corporation and utilises additive friction stir deposition (AFSD) to print high‑value metal components. AFSD is a solid‑state cold‑welding process that overcomes the scale, speed and post‑processing limitations of other metal AM techniques; it produces massive parts without porosity or cracking and can be up to 10 times faster than other metal 3D printing methods
